Have always had a positive experience until today. Went in politely asking for a follow up on something that I was told would be completed approx two weeks ago (I felt waiting two weeks was more then generous for something that was meant to be completed that afternoon) the receptionist went straight to the defence, throwing her hands in the air asking what I wanted her to do about it. She then said I had to write a note for her to give to the nurse and then left reception. Tall lady with short blonde hair, rude and extremely unprofessional to deal with, very disappointed. A polite “I’m sorry, let me take your details and we’ll be in touch” would have serviced not the fiasco that ensued.

The best medical centre in Queenstown! The staff are polite, always ready to help if you have any questions. Reasonable prices) I'm so thankful for Dr Val Miller, also nursers who helped. I had minor surgery in medical centre, it was quick, and helpful. Now i am feeling much better!

!!!UPDATE!!! Firstly got misinformed by the receptionist, then had the worst doctor experience ever do not see Dr Viv Tate, I walked out in worse condition then I walked in. I needed a certain prescription as was stuck in New Zealand for an extra week due to COVID and there was no 2 ways about it with her she was harsh and heartless to my situation, she compared me to other patients which was uncalled for, it ruined the rest of my day and I had a nice dinner booked with my family that night on the gondola restaurant, did see a 2nd doctor for a 2nd opinion and she was much more helpful and got me what I needed. I was still made to pay for the consult and even asked for a discount with what happened and nothing was done. Doctors are made to help people if you can't help people especially being stuck in unforeseen circumstances don't be a doctor. Emailed the owner/manager of the practice asking for a refund with my experience, he didn't take in account of how seriously ill this experience made me and took the word of his staff instead. I told him if he doesn't won't to listen and refund I'll leave another review, we'll hear you go, I hope this practice shuts down or changes management.

The worst medical center I ever been to. The old lady in the reception is awful every time I speak to her, she is so impatient and never wants listen to patients. And their doctors are terrible, I went there last week and the doctor said she will refer me to private specialist. But till now, she did nothing yet because I checked with them 3times since then, I can’t believe they treat patients like this, nobody seems care about their patients. I decided to change my medical center now, please do not go there, you will get no help from there!!!!

The staff aren't very friendly and they have strict consultation time limits, so it's difficult to actually get medical help/advice, more likely to just give you a prescription and send you on your way. I repeatedly asked for a gynaecologist referral, it never happened.

I went in for a doctor's visit in the 9th May $60. I collected my scripts that same day $25. The pharmacist questioned me on one of the scripts as the instructions were, take 1 for 2 days and 2 tablets for 4 days (I can't remember exactly the instructions but along those lines) anyway, the instructions read in a way that suggested I needed at least 10 or so tablets. Instead the doctor had just put 3 tablets. The pharmasict said he would contact the doctor and said I should too which I did. I explained to the nurse and said I don't really want to be paying for another script ($20) as I think there was an error. Anyway, I have just received an invoice for a script for 12th May. Another $20.. I wasn't even advised the script had been filled, so didn't know it was ready, and nor did the nurse phone me to advise it wasn't a mistake by the doctor and that I was to be charged another $20. I am hoping accounts/administration can see the mistake/ misunderstanding and clear this up.

I have been a patient of wakatipu medical centre for half a year, everytime I have gone for an appointment I have received poor service from the doctors and the staff, especially the doctors. I felt like I was never taken seriously with the reasons I was coming in for appointments. I struggle from a chronic illness which effects me majorly physically, mentally & emotionally.. I end up in hospital a lot of times to get stronger pain relief and they recommend me to make a follow up GP appointment which I always end up scared to do because it only ends up being a waste of time and money for me. I’ve ended up going to another practice now because I don’t want to continue on the path of not being taken seriously and under minded.

Absolutely the worst. Couldn't count how many times I was let down, their administration and reception is the worst service I've dealt with. Called there to enquire about getting a medical test for immigration purposes and got the answer "fully booked until mid march - can't help you", and hang up on my face. She even knew which date I was looking into booking it. When I called in other medical centers in Queenstown I was so well treated, even that they were also booked until mid or end of March. The newest one is that I've requested a repeated prescription with very clear instructions that it would be collected in X pharmacy. They sent it to the wrong pharmacy. I called and requested to resend, they lied that they resent it, went back to the pharmacy again and nothing. And later on, they accused me to have already collected the prescription in a completely different pharmacy. Like how hard is that? Send a prescription to a pharmacy? Never coming back and don't think anyone should. Absolutely hassle dealing with them.
