Our meal was ready quickly and the overall quality was good (we even got a few bonus items in our family pack). Special mention of the deep fried Camembert - delicious ? ?
Although I didn't use it, they also have and online ordering option which would be super convenient in future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haven't tried too many other fish n chip shops in Taupo, but we don't need to, as Fishbox do the best around. Always fresh, never greasy, chips are superb and a generous portion. Snapper is beautiful and again, always a generous serve. I have to mention the burgers! Delicious - "home made" patties and tasty fresh ingredients. Friendly and efficient service too, with the added bonus of being able to order online.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely disappointed with having to give you a one star rating as previous experience of this place has been astounding but... Tonight we ordered two fish chips and a hotdog. When receiving the order the fish was battered and not crumbed like we asked no problem to us that can be fixed but after my partner told you he was made to feel like it was his wrong doing you fixed it but then had to wait for it to be cooked while the rest of our order sat there getting cold and then you proceeded to charge him for the crumbed fish which was YOUR fault in the first place and then we had cold soggy chips and a hotdog that was soggy also.. Wont be coming back unfortunately.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was fresh and good. However, I ordered coleslaw and this was not packed with my order. Disappointed as I'd made it known to them that it was our first time there and we were travelling through. Didn't have time to head back and claim for the coleslaw.

So popular that there wait times are up to an hour at night, so pre-order during the day is best.
But I'm going to say this was one of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time and there Angus patty and bacon burger is hard to pass by as well.
