After the mo this and months of bad press online KFC gets in Taupo we chose Chicking tonight.
Mistake. We ordered 5n1...chicken was over cooked to the point the kids couldn't eat the coating/skin as it was too rock hard, paid for 'Large' potato and gravy and received 2 x small, with the lid not on properly on the bottom one it ended up thru the bag, missing 1 x large fries and the large fries we did get were under cooked and cold. Coleslaw tasted as tho it had been left at room temp too long. Burgers were a flop too, bun was mushy and chicken wasn't nice. Can give a solid thumbs up for the popcorn at least.
Won't be making this mistake again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’d say this is the best fast food food I’ve ever eaten in New Zealand. The toasties was an absolute bomb. If you didn’t like vegetables you should get this one as you will only be served with some juicy chicken accompanied with spicy and scrumptious sauces that will leave you speechless. The coleslaw is also one of the best if not the best compared to other fast food branches. The fries are also very good and I would proudly say it is as good if not better than Maccas fries. The chicken popcorn is also amazing. The only thing lacking is there’s no sauce station which is non-existent in all other fast food places all around NZ. The prices are also very reasonable. Also they are certified halal. I hope there’s gonna be a branch in Christchurch if not in the whole of South Island soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped in on our way down from Auckland. Ordered some food not knowing they were closing soon. The lady was kind enough to allow us to dine in and enjoy our meal as we we had been driving for over 3 hours and needed a break. I can't speak highly enough of the service we recieved not to mention how much better the chicken tastes than KFC. Will def be coming back ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice fresh crispy fried chicken with lots of choices, my favourite are the spicy chicken strips and the hubby loved the big b burger. Burgers are of decent size so worth the price. Not really a fast option however as we had to wait 20-30mins both times we went. Great service though - they offered to upsize the drink for the long wait, and when they missed handing out the gravy mash for the combo, they compensated with an extra coleslaw. Would love to go again when we do visit Taupo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly amazingly delicious ?. Love the fact there was a franchise who actually sold rice with their crunchy chicken ??. The chicken was actually crunchy and the spice was actual hott??. I wish drinks came with the meals for that price. Other than that I would be seen eating here as a regular ohhh and did I mention tidy setting area and oh and no wait times ?????♀️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish there is a option for -5 star rating. Grilled chicken came back burnt outside and undercooked inside. After waiting for nearly 30mins. It also came with dinner roll, and it was hard enough to use it as a ball. When I mentioned it to the reception, the young guy responded that it was soft before and he touched to see if it was soft. Which was funny.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a bad experience there I ordered 6 Chicken pieces and they put in 4 leg pieces after 35 minutes of wait time. When I told the guy that you handed me over with so many leg pieces he didn’t entertain me and said in 6 pieces order we normally put 3 to 4 leg pieces. Regarding the time he had first asked me that this will take 35 minutes which I agreed upon but he should have told me that there would be 4 leg pieces in your order.
So if you are expecting big pieces of chicken just like you get in any other fast food you will be disappointed. They only have thighs and legs I guess.
Long story short except 66% leg pieces when you order chicken pieces here.
