β β β β β Went in for couple of beers to catch up with a friend. Got told to take a seat as it was table service only. Waited for 10 mins and after multiple attempts to get the attention of the waitress, we finally got to put in an order for drinks. We get asked to open a bar tab. 15 mins go by and still no drinks, we just decided to go somewhere else instead. We approach the bar manager to cancel our order and to have him return our card. We tell him politely that the service is very slow, we would like our card back. The manager gets our card and my friend comments that he needs to hire more staff. The manager then in a very confrontational tone asks "what did you say to me?". Our sincere apologies we offended you by wanting to give genuine feedback. So thank you Mr tough guy behind the bar for saving us from overpriced drinks and your amazing interpersonal skills.

β β β β β Nice food, at a level you would expect for an establishment that describes itself as a gastro pub, but let down by slow service. A party of eight with one main course served after everyone else had finished their meal, then slow to refill water and clear the table.

β β β β β Dessert was nice but the smallest cheesecake slice ever! Fish & chips was average, the fish batter was terrible & not crispy, was awful. First time there & wouldnβt recommend eating there.

β β β β β Great except car blocking pedestrian entry which sucks if you're in a wheelchair or baby mover as you need to lift your stuff over the top. Seemed to be there a while so either staff or a bar fixture. EDIT. Car is still parked there.

β β β β β I been there twice.. Very disappointed, Mt Eden one is much nicer in food and drinks. I had an old fashioned, it was too sweet, I taste more alcohol in my glass of wine than the cocktail.
I have a salmon poke, lot of smoke salmon, but it was too salty.. And the bed of brown rice is very dry..

β β β β β Only managed one photo ?....
We called and made a 'nite before' booking for 25 of us, as we decided last minute to eat somewhere, following my graduation ceremony on Monday night. The staff were very accomodating despite our last minute booking, which I really appreciate. We had a nice section of the restaurant to ourselves & had a really enjoyable experience, With yummy food & drink... Thanks Goodhome Onehunga for adding to an already memorable evening for myself and my family.

β β β β β The worst and most overpriced burger Iβve ever had. Overdone and dry patty, cheese not melted, industrial bread. From other reviews seems to be the case for most menu items. Avoid a disappointment and donβt order food here. Much better places around (case in point, Brothers Beer just across the street). Good outdoor area for a couple beers though.
