★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is such a beautiful place, very picturesque. It has a boat excursions from here too. There is also a cool little cafè and licenced restaurant doing brunch and dinners. And some little very short walks. In the summer a lovely little beach for swimming. ?☕?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The landing is a small cafe at lake Tarawera. We arrived when it was closed but its a beautiful little spot. There are toilets handy but I imagine parking is difficult when the cafe is open. There is a boat ramp next to the jetty if you want to launch your boat. The jetty is also a good photo opportunity if you can get it without people on it, winter might be a better time to snap this picture.
The water is beautiful and clear and its a very popular swimming spot with plenty of spaces for practicing bombs!
I would recommend taking bug repellent, especially in the evening as the sand flies are something else!

Tea for two was perfect, tasty, hot, rich, colourful and plenty of it.
Service was faultless, prompt, polite, and friendly.
Shall return with a breakfast in mind.
