โ โ โ โ โ Very nice place for dinner, the American platter is very well portioned and enough to share for 4 people. I would definitely recommend the $10 mussel pots when they are avalible but one small thing is the meat given with the corn chips was very unappealing and needs to be presented better. It looked dry and awful but in reality the taste was actually pretty good.

โ โ โ โ โ Ok, it's called "s"moors" or something like that. Apparently it's an American dish. So, you gotta try this if your a sweet tooth. It's dynamite! I ordered it again but takeaway this time. I mist confess, I couldn't finish it for the 2nd time. However, I will take a third attempt in the near future.
It's made of roasted marshmallows and maybe nuttella or some other rich chocolate. It's served with these biscuits (cookies).
I dare you to try it!
Highly recommend the Waikato burger and the milkshake too!

โ โ โ โ โ Was our first time here. The staff is really helpful and friendly and the decor and feeling of the place is awesome. We had food from Eat Burger which was also amazing. I loved how patient the staff was with multiple split orders from the Taphouse and Eatburger. I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for good food, good beers with good friends and great service.

โ โ โ โ โ We popped in for dinner on a cold Tuesday night.
We shared a chicken burger and a loaded fries w/cheese & bacon bits.
The chicken burger was quite good. The patty seemed to be pan fried but quite edible.
Unfortunately the loaded fries were a bit of a disappointment. It seemed to be spray cheese coupled with almost bacon floss. Wouldn't recommend at all.
The only saving grace was that the burger cane with a drink from the tap of which I chose a very nice raspberry pear cider.
The bar staff did impress but if u come here, order something other than the loaded fries.

โ โ โ โ โ We went to the local taphouse for lunch last Sunday 27/3/22. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. For starters we waited three quarters of an hour to an hour for our food and it wasn't that busy. When our food did arrive it was not what I would say was worth the wait. The batter was really hard around the fish and when you did get to the fish it was hard and dry. The burger bun was soggy and the egg was really over cooked and to some degree burnt. I also received a very small portion of half cooked chips. We ordered the side dish, the bacon and cheese chips. This looked like it was just thrown together and not very warm. The fish appeared to of been cooked in old used by date oil. In fact the whole meal was not hot, just slightly warm. The only positive things I will say is that we received friendly service from the lady at the bar when ordering drinks that day. I appreciated my lemon, lime, and bitter drink while waiting, and finally my son did say he enjoyed his burger.
