★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large comfortable rooms and friendly service. The main area they could improve that I can see (or rather hear) is the noise levels. But a lot of that seems down to the construction of the building so impossible to fix without a complete rebuild. You can hear the noise of people in rooms near you - particularly above and below you. It didn’t keep me awake but I am a very sound sleeper. Internet was also a little hit and miss but I was also uploading a lot of data (or rather trying to).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s pretty good place. Clean room and kind staff. Free wifi and breakfast included.
Breakfast was basic. Cereal, breads, yogurt, juice and tea, fruits.
But parking place is too small. We arrived late and there were no space to park.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were friendly and location good but rooms were just ok (no hooks in bathroom, fan goes off every time you use the bathroom, two towels for four people etc - nothing big but just lot of little things). Breakfast is seriously basic. Fine but have found much better for lower price at Methven Resort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Advertised as a 4 star so had a certain expectation. On arrival it took a while to locate the receptionist who was disinterested. We'd booked a standard king room.
The room was large, with a big bathroom and spa bath. However, both were dated and worn. The glasses needed cleaning before use and all surfaces were smeary. The complimentary coffee was undrinkable. The bed was surprisingly comfortable.
The continental breakfast was the bear minimum. It consisted of cereal, white 'plastic' bread, fruit and the same cheap coffee. The icing on the cake was the note asking patrons to cleanup after they'd finished breakfast, including wiping the table! On check out, the lack of reception staff reminiscent of the Mary Celeste... Fortunately, the cleaning staff were around

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No staff on 2pm arrival and none after ringing the bell and phoning the lodge. The wait caused us to be late for our 3pm hot pools slot.
Dinner was no more than average. I was asked how I wanted my steak cooked which was a nice surprise, Medium-rare my response. But I was served well-done and flavourless? Breakfast was a joke. Please see the photo for the range of savoury options... Nothing GF available or Staff to ask.
2 stars because rooms were good size with comfy beds.
