★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The receptionist (the owner or manager I suspect) informed us on arrival that he had recently travelled back from Auckland and managed to avoid wearing a mask by buying biscuits and eating them slowly on the plane. Heavy antimask vibes. Weird for a business that relies on tourism and probably shouldn't want a delta outbreak.
We had booked two rooms for the same price. One room was fine. My room was about 25% the size, had no fridge (the milk was stored in a cupboard at room temperature), had several power outlets that didn't work and had a view that looked directly into another room.
I was there for work and only for one night, and I would never stay here again. Even if my work was paying the bill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to stay. Food was good. Room was well appointed... only issue is u can hear the other rooms guests using the bathroom... which if someone has had a curry or too many beers is not a sound people want to hear .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Accommodation was excellent as always. Very clean and well looked after. All the staff are really helpful and a pleasure to deal with. They are normally able to offer dinner and breakfast in their excellent restaurant but I'm afraid the restaurant is closed at the moment. Highly recommended, pitty the restaurant was closed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popped in for the night after an epic queen Charlotte track walk. Handy to the airport for tomorrow's flight. This is a beautiful hotel. Really fantastic rooms, great service and the bar was open. Wish we'd stayed here on the way in. Perfect ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall a great experience, the rooms were good and very comfortable. Even the drinks sachets tray had decent tea brands and others on it. The staff were warm and welcoming. At the time we stayed there we did not have to have vaccine passports to stay there. The morning breakfast both continental and cooked were lovely and the lady who ran it was a good chef and a very nice person to talk with. It was also a nicely set up space overlooking the pool. The prices were fair for both. We will happily stay there again when we are next in Blenheim. Parking was also good and easy access.
