★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service, clean rooms in the center of Blenheim. Found the bed too soft and the pillows so fluffy they started suffocating you when you rolled over at night, perhaps one firm and one fluffy pillow instead of 2 very fluffy pillows would be a better idea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a 5 star hotel, expected more than a standard room for the price we paid compared to other hotels. Rubbish bin was tiny, could only fit one small thing in the bin. Noise from other rooms, restaurant was over priced, something like $44 for a meal, balcony view was of the car park so there was no privacy, people would stare at us. Got told off for smoking on the balcony from the reception lady who also saw us from the car park when actually I was vaping not smoking and out doors. My boyfriend was insulted by another customer because she was inconveniently parked in the entry way of the hotel and had to move so we could drive through, we won't be going back there ever.

And there was no sink to wash out our coffee cups only a hand basin in the bathroom 1bar of soap was a bit odd for two people.
Nice bed.
The receptionist was ok but accent made her hard to understand.
Hotel was the only place we stayed in that actually asked us to show our vacinne passes and actually scanned them. If we had of been able to use the safe we would have let the cleaners in to service the room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On arrival we were surprised at the rude and disappointing customer service. No smile, no welcoming attitude, looked glum, gave us a key card and key to penthouse, gave a rushed instruction how to use key in lift then got distracted and dashed off from the lift, no intro to the hotel, parking, pool, restaurant etc. In contrast the male at the desk that checked us out was so very lovely and friendly.
Grime was visible as it was smeared with hair on the bathroom door. The hotel is tired and dated, we were upgraded to the penthouse but it is so dated and did not have anything outstanding about it, just a two bedroom unit with a balcony. Our stay was not a complete disaster but it was not a good experience at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, top hotel. It was good to see how much people loved the pool area. We enjoyed the classy room, great service, bar and restaurant. Both of our meals were stunning. Chateau Marlborough have excellent staff - we were impressed with our stay and will definitely return.
