★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a destination site. In the middle of NZ north Island Pinot Noir wine country. Very popular as a weekend and holiday time get away. The main Restaurant has a great menu I liked the Whitebait for an Entree and the Mong fish for the main. The Pinot was almost a big red, rich and full some. The ambiance bright vibrant with a full house of dinners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was lacking. We had booked an early check-in of midday, however check-in staff were not aware of this, so room was not ready on arrival. Almost no information was given to us when checking in as well, so the hotels amenities were left to something of a guessing game, mixed with a complicated trawl through the hotels website.
Adding to this, was disgusted and displeased to find a live cockroach crawling under the toilet seat in my bedroom.
Pillows were of an extremely poor quality as well.
Housekeeping staff were fantastic however, and were very hospitable. The mattress on the bed was also clearly of a high quality, and in spite of the pillows, made for a very comfortable sleep.
The atmosphere of the hotel is lovely, however doesn't make up for the poor service or the standards expected for what is paid.

The drinks are great, so is the food and the atmosphere! Will definitely be back when in Martinborough

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed there for our 40th anniversary with some friends which was there 26 annerversary who recommended it. When we arrived the 2 ladies were welcoming nice and polite, rooms were good bed comfy, we had a corner room looking out on to the square. We booked downstairs in the restaurant for dinner, it was the best idea as we did look around, the food was amazing I had the sausages yummy, we tipped our waiter Gareth as he was the best waiter ever. Will go back again.?❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a lovely stay here, beautifully decorated and awesome location. The beds were very comfortable and really cool interiors in the rooms. Service was great too. Rooms were a little cold but a heater was provided and extra blankets - but I did come in June so the chill was expected. Looking forward to visiting again!
