★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both my husband and I had a wonderful lunch today, food took a while to arrive but as the cafe was full we were happy to enjoy the view and relax. Our food was superb and well worth the wait. We will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there today with my partner and we absolutely loved the whole experience! Michelle took our orders and she was so lovely and sweet, plus she complimented my cat shirt which made my morning lol. All the staff who helped us were so welcoming and there was just good vibes all around. I wish I could give more than just 5 stars cause that's what they deserve, also the food came out faster than I expected and it looked and tasted phenomenal! It was a brunch fit for royalty. : )
Gonna recommend this cafe to my parents as it's right up their alley in terms of food and scenery. In fact, I'll recommend it to anyone who asks for a good cafe in Tairua!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were served by an abrasive rude lady who told us a takeaway slice of cheesecake (sitting in the cabinet) would take an hour. The following day our friends also experienced extremely rude and slow service. They were even handed an avocado in its skin when cafe staff were told that avocado was missing from their breakfast.
As a local I would recommend Pepe or Out of the Blue for much better food and lovely staff.
Unfortunately the good location of this cafe can't save the terrible experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had dinner there 2 nights ago and it was incredible. The food is definitely made by a great chef. The service was fantastic and the hostess super friendly and helpful. The best meal I've had in awhile. We had 4 different meals and everyone was very happy. Drink recommendations were spot on and great selection of beer and wine on menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic meal! Late lunch and we were hungry! Loved the Hot Water Brewing Co beer. Great service awesome menu selection. All 3 things we ordered come highly recommended. The Spanish Egg Bowl was delicious and totally filled the spot. Daughter had the Churro pancakes and is raving about them. Wife had the pork sliders and said they were delicious. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic friendly staff. Give it a go I say!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been a few times recently and the wait time has aways been a bit too long for the amount of people in the cafe. Even for cabinet food which make completely no sense. Recently got poached eggs which were more like boiled eggs. But the coffee is always great but that is all I would for go now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took a long time to get our food, 45 min even when a half of the tables were empty. Lady at the counter said to another costumer to low her expectations to get surprised. Very average. Plates looked very nice but one of the eggs was overcooked and I needed to fight with my half of tomato to cut it. Very plain on flavour. The most tasty part of my plate was that tiny sausage. My partner's plate same thing. NO WI-FI, updating a preview review. I wouldn't recommend. Sad we didn't have any other option to eat close to the beach.
