β β β β β Such a great Dunedin institution. Lovely food, service and coffee. The cheese rolls with the seafood chowder are my favourite β€οΈ

β β β β β Delicious menu food and big selection of yummy cabinet food as well. I had french toast with maple mascarpone, berry compote and bacon and my friend had one of the bagels and a savory scroll from the cabinet which was all excellent. It was difficult to get a table so I would recommend going early. Coffee was well made but roast not to my taste so I wouldn't go for just coffee.

β β β β β You will get better service from maccas than from curly headed barista, arguments at the table over which coffee was decaf, it was our fault she put them down in the middle in front of the wrong people. All food is assembled not made.

β β β β β Was really looking forward to the halloumi breakfast but they had run out. At 7.30am I guess they must have started the day without any. Nearest supermarket is 300 meters away...tempting.
I opted for the Vegan breakfast instead and wasn't dissappointed. The Hashbrowns were light and crunchy (remove off the grilled tomatoes promptly or loose the crunch), the mushrooms are the highlight of the dish in my opinion, packed full of flavour and enough of them to satisfy the tastebuds.
My long black coffee was on par, service was quick (food served within 15 minutes of seating), staff are prompt and cheerful and the atmosphere is nice. At $19 for the breakfast this place represents value for money.

β β β β β Had a nice breakfast here, great flavours good portion size. Coffee was great too.
Friendly staff and good service.
Online pricing was out of date though and prices have snuck up a little since publication.

β β β β β Wonderful service and a decent array of food in the cabinet. Fast delivery of food and drink from counter to table. My chicken and bean burrito was delicious, just a tad cooler in places (Could have done with and extra 20 seconds in the microwave or in a heat press for more distributed heat). Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back.

β β β β β I always come here for breakfast whenever I am in Dunedin. Consistently great service, delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. It can get quite busy and I like that because it means the food turns over quickly so it's always quite fresh.
Photo attached: corn fritters with poached eggs and cabinet frittata along with a side salad.
