Established in Nov 2000, Chadha Upholstery began its journey with numerous wholesale orders. Good response and great public demand had Sofa Creations chartering into retail territory. Now directly open to the public you are privy to a range of styles and products at Sofa Creations. At Sofa Creations you have at your disposal, custom made furniture, made-to-measure fabric lounge suites and sofa beds to suit all sorts of households. Once there, you can decide on the look you’re aiming for and they can conjure up styles to suit your taste. We are 100% NZ owned family business with multiple years trade experience and like to think our team provide an excellent service. Lay Buy
Yes, you are welcome to lay-by. A 30% non refundable deposit of the total price is required. Customers must pay in full within 8 weeks from the date of sale. If you change your mind or give up the order, the 50% deposit is not refundable.
Packing & Delivery
All products are either in stock or can be ordered.
We can arrange delivery nationwide.

In the unlikely event that your purchase is lost in transit we will do our best to locate it, and if required place a claim. We do not offer refunds until the delivery company have completed their investigation and a claim has been paid out. Sofa Creations will maintain correspondence with you during this time, keeping you fully informed of all progress.
Return or Refund Policy
We aim for 100% customer satisfaction, in the unlikely event that an item arrives faulty we will replace or exchange if your:
Item is damaged or Item is defective
You notify us within 7 days
If your item is unable to be replaced we will offer you a refund. We will do our best to resolve any problems as quickly as possible.
We will not refund if:
You simply ‘change your mind’. Item was ‘not what you expected it to be’ or ‘not what you imagined it to be’.
Warranty
Our sofas come with a warranty that is covered by the manufacturer. The warranty covers any product that has a manufacturing defect that is not the result of normal wear and tear.
· Frame: 5 year warranty
· Seat foam: 5 year warranty
· Webbing: 5 year warranty
· Fabric:2- 3 year warranty (does not include pilling or sun damage)
· All products carry a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty on all parts unless otherwise stated.
For Commercial usage these warranties do not apply.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very disappointed that my sofas were not bubble wrapped as promised, it was raining when we were trying to move them in and because they were a lot longer than the usual size we had to lift them through the back of the house and they not only got wet but they also got dirt from the outside on them too.
They arrived with fluff all over the sofa and cushions and hadn't been vacuumed well before delivery I spent $3k on my sofas and I expected a better service. To date I still haven't received my certificate to confirm it was scotch guarded and it's been 2 weeks already

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We purchased a sofa from the Porirua branch 4 months ago and it has stood up well to babies, dogs, cats and more and seems to be as durable as promised. We were really impressed with the customer service as well, the salesman was not pushy and took time to custom design a layout which would fit in our small lounge and the price was very reasonable for a quality custom made sofa. It was completed within the timeframe promised and the friendly staff helped me load it onto my ute, going the extra mile to make sure it did not get damaged and was secure. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although our sofa is nice, the customer service is so terrible that I would never recommend this place. Our sofa was delivered 3 WEEKS later than what was written on the invoice and only when I called after the due date asking where it was, did they let me know it was held up in customs. I had to keep calling almost every couple days asking for an update as they didn’t have the courtesy to let me know what was happening. Three weeks later I was told it would be delivered between 1-3pm and it was instead delivered at 11am. When they did deliver it, they had forgotten to attach a few things that we had initially asked for such as something on the legs to keep them from scratching the floor, and clips to keep the three pieces together. Because the clips were missing and the legs not done correctly, the floor in our brand new house has been scratched. I called to tell them and again had to email twice and call 3 times before I got an email back saying someone would be there on the weekend between 12-2pm to fix it. Again the delivery man turned up before 12 when I wasn’t home and then said he waited but I was home before 12 and did not see him or receive a phone call. It took me another 3 phone calls to organise for him to come again during the day. When speaking with one of the store people on the phone and expressing my disappointment and frustration, he was quite rude and told me that they had done me a favour by not charging me for the clips even though they had forgotten to put them on in the first place. When talking about my scratched floors, he told me I can go to Bunnings and buy something myself Because they do not supply stoppers for the legs, however when the delivery guy came he attached the stoppers and said the previous delivery guy should of given them to me???? Poor communication! Again, although the sofa is fine I would not put myself or recommend that any one else go through this hassle just for a sofa. Absolutely the worst customer service that I have ever received.
