★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dinner for two, nice seating area & atmosphere. Waiter & waitress were friendly enough and I really liked that they werent in our faces every two seconds like some places. We both had the beef skewer and calamari entrees followed by a steak. The negative would be that the meal was a bit bland (but I just cracked on some salt n pepper), and a little lackluster on the plate but not in a major way, maybe add some more veg to the plate not just 1 hard piece of broccolini? The positives were both steaks were cooked exactly how we asked for rare & medium rare, and the mashed spuds were great with it, very creamy, the perfect partnering. The positives far out weighing any of the negatives. A good pub meal, I left full & would eat here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to just hang out and enjoy a beautiful day in Petone. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Cocktail selection was more than enough to keep us happy. Definitely looking forward to next time I'm in the area!

The mains are probably great just don't go for deals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ FABULOUS! Our son turned 15yrs and he chose The Victoria Tavern for dinner. Everything was lovely - from the staff, to the meal, to the drinks. Can't fault a thing. Thanks for a wonderful evening ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got to have one of the steak meals and omg it was delicious the best cooked steak I've ever had!!!! Like the chef actually knows what a medium rare steak is. Thank you so much team. Your waiting staff were great very attentive always made sure our drinks never went empty. I loved watching the kitchen staff and them plating the dishes. I feel I had the best seat in the restaurant right in front of the kitchen.The interaction they had with each other was just amazing the 3 guys were entertaining the morale here is fabulous I loved the environment and I will most definitely be returning in the future. Thanks again team keep up the amazing work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great dining experience. The staff were attentive and very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the wagu beef cheeseburger and chips on a brioche bun. Really tasty. The thick cut chips were perfect. Also had the chicken pate. Really nice. It was a really nice atmosphere too.
After another visit we had the striploin steak, eye fillet steak, hummus and chips

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time here and was great service the waiter and waitress were awesome but the choices of food wasn't that great. But can say we stayed to test it out.
My Husband had the eye fillet main with extra side dish, and I had the Spinach ravioli salad for my main.
My Husband said his steak was tough, my salad was soaked with too much sauce couldn't taste the spinach etc the sauce was over powering. Oysters were sooooooo Devine❤.
Expensive yes but in the Hospitality industry nowadays I do appreciate the effort they put into their business. We would come back again only because your drinks and Hospitality was Great ? ? ?
