Went today for my birthday and they bought out a chocolate brownie with a candle to make my birthday special was a wonderful touch that gave a perfect ending to a perfect day

β β β β β Sorry but today this restaurant wasn't firing on all cylinders. From the moment we walked in I knew it wasn't going to be a good experience.
The Waitress behind bar just standing there looking right at me didn't even say hello. "The Cut" steak was like an old gunboat and my ribs were burnt and dry. And the coleslaw I am sure you brought from New World.
Sorry guys I am sure looking at your previous reviews you can do better!

β β β β β Food was a little pricey considering the execution. Flavours were good but the execution was poor. Service was reasonably quick.
For the main the Aged Sirloin was pretty tasty and the meat and mashed spud was great. However it was let down by the veges being barely warm. The mushroom sauce was tasty but looks like it had been put through a blender and it had split. Overall taste was good.
The cheesy garlic bread tasted great was hot, but only one side was toasted which was strange. But if you do go here get this it was great.
The deconstructed banofee pie was not at all what I expected. See photo. Again the ice cream cooled it down so it was not hot, but it looked like they had scooped it up and dropped it in a jar. Taste was ok. But the presentation and execution could have been better. Also not what you think when they say a deconstructed desert. Overall not as good as the average in Petone.

β β β β β Fabulous seafood and steak stonegrill, seafood was fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and accomadating. Made my granddaughter feel very special on her birthday and even took a photo for us. An experience to remember!!!
