★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spectacular view of Ahipara-Ninety mile beach. Best part of this point is hiking from shipwreck bay parking lot. From Ahipara I can see only two trees at the end of the view. I always wanted to go there and see what actually it is. When I get there, I see cluster of 4 trees but one of them is dead.
I hike with my family in a low tide on the weekend. I noticed a lot of surfers, ATV riders and fishing people everywhere.
I walked barefoot until I get to these trees. After that I had to put on my shoes because lot of metal and broken glass on the beach.
Once you reach this point, the beach get more wild and quite interesting rock formation. I enjoyed 8 miles/6hours or round hiking trip.
