★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful beach! The wharf and Cooks walkway are magic. The camp facilities are tired, locks that don't work, doors hanging off hinges, ran out of hot water, toilet paper and soap. To top it all off we woke up on site 22 in a swimming pool. Everything was wet! Lack of remorse and apology was disappointing.

However facilities are old and not clean. Female toilets are always problematic - toilet, shower and sinks! I would only come back here if I have no other options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, living in Paradise. Waking up to the view just outstanding. Facilities are lovely and clean. The owners are lovely and kind couple. And the people that travel from overseas are friendly and love what is provided here. I really don't want to leave here. Absolutely serenity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful location, but don't expect the Ritz. Had troubles with hot water in the showers most days, blocked loos, the zip in the kitchen is out of order and not enough fridge space for everyone staying here. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, staff were all friendly & helpful. Broad Bill's pizza caravan is a must visit as the food and service are fantastic.
Highly recommend the Cooks Cove walk!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent two nights here in June. Accommodation has everything you expect from a motor camp. The showers were basic but beautifully hot and good pressure. Staff friendly and helpful. The camp is right next to the wharf - maybe a hundred metres. You can see the wharf from the windows of some of the cabins. I was in a cabin and the bed was warm and comfortable. Heater supplied which was appreciated for winter. Will definitely stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and i stayed here for 3 nights on a non powered tent site. Awesome place to stay, surrounded by beautiful NZ scenery and the iconic Tolaga bay wharf.....cooks cove walkway 2min walk up the road..... throw a stone to the beach which is great for swimming or a stroll.
Highly recommend...... 5 stars.
