They were extremely accommodating for our group of 17 and were fantastic at communicating before and during the trip. I'd 100% use them again.

Woke up at 5am to reach the bus but then nobody picked us up till 7am. Called the company and they told us they got no booking? After that the women of the campground called them (she made also the booking) and suddenly they told us the driver has forgotten us..... next they the same procedure but not even a sorry from the staff......

Refused to pick up from our hotel in Taupo, we ended up taking a taxi to the downtown location and the shuttle was running late. At the end of the day, we were late to return to the car park at the end of the crossing and the bus left without us and the company simply asked us hitch a ride back from the middle of nowhere and they can't help. What a hopeless service, I'd never recommend doing the crossing with them. Find a better tour company or best rent a car

My husband and I were at the pick up point early, and as we had a few minutes my husband went to the toilet. The bus arrived early and the staff expressed annoyance that my husband wasn't there, even though he came back from the toilet before the scheduled departure time. My main issue, however, was the collection at the end of the track. Firstly, we were told when we got on the outward bus in the morning that the first return bus would leave at 2pm, even though the website and the leaflet we were given on boarding the bus said 1:30pm. There were a lot of people waiting by 1:30pm so this departure time would have been fine, I'm not sure why it was changed from what was advertised. Many other companies had earlier buses than this. Secondly, at the end of the track there was no sign indicating exactly where the bus pick up point was or any staff to check us in, so when the buses finally arrived masses of people just flocked to them and several people jumped what kind of loose queue there was. My husband and I had been waiting for an hour and a half, having got the early bird bus and finished the track early - we were among the first people waiting at the end. However due to the lack of a queuing system we were forced on to the second bus, which didn't depart until several more people had finished the track and got on. When I suggested to the staff that they could have some kind of queuing system (just a sign telling people where to wait would suffice), or at least prioritise people who had got the early bird bus to the track and so were likely to have been waiting the longest, they just laughed at me. Rude and poor service - I would recommend using a different company, there are many to choose from.

I thought that the company was very accommodating. They require a call the day before to confirm, but since I was travelling abroad I had no phone, and they accepted an email. Originally I was just going to have to walk to the I-Site, but they offered to pick me up at my hostel. They were very informative on the bus, but my impression was that it depends on the staff. While there are no signs at the end of the hike for busing, it was very easy to figure out since the car park is small and the bus companies are all well labeled. They were also easy to use for their rental policy and the price was in line with other bus companies. I have two complaints about the timing, though. I got on the early bus in the morning that left Taupo at 5:30, an hour before the next bus, but the early bus stops at the car park and waits for more people, so despite leaving an hour earlier, I was only ten minutes ahead of a few people from my hostel who took the later bus at 6:30. On the way back, the first bus filled and left, but the second bus waited to fill up before leaving, which meant that we sat in a very hot bus filled with sweaty hikers for 45 minutes before finally getting the last few seats filled. I appreciate that the company wants to be efficient and carry as many people so as to not use as many buses or make as many trips, but the second bus was mostly full and the hikers had been sitting at the bottom waiting for the bus for a long time before the return trips started. I think it would be better if they let the first wave go all at the same time, even if there were a few seats left open.
