★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful peaceful location with direct views of Mount Ruapehu wee saw on arrival on a clear day over private garden and pond. We based in that views for hours after arrival. On a cloudy day only the mountain base is visible Very modern European style suites, with nice selection continental breakfast included. Access to Barbecue and hot tub is included for guests. Extras include sustainable features with Solar panels and rain water collection. Location is in an area with very little lighting at night allowing for easy viewing of the southern sky and visible milky way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed 3 nights and were impressed with Carel & Elsbeths friendly, helpful service along with the suites themselves, which are spacious, well equipped and have great mountain views. Awesome spot to base yourself for both the Tongariro crossing and Old Coach bike trial. Thanks for the awesome stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for accommodation to do our Tongariro Crossing track and came across Tongariro Suites. Although it's a bit further down (as we came from Auckland) it's definitely worth it! All other alternatives were a bit shabby and old but Tongariro Suites feels luxurious with STUNNING views of Mt Ruapehu from your BED! We were lucky to see the views in the morning before our hike including the stars during the night. Each unit has it's own deck and seating area perfect for a BBQ which feels private and exclusive. All amenities are modern with nice tiled shower, bathtub and super comfy bed. We had a lovely breakfast each morning which includes fresh fruit, toast with local jams/coffee and cereal (we couldn't finish it!). Overall, we highly recommend coming here for your next trip including Tongariro Crossing!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a Great little spot, it was beautiful in the morning to wake up to a perfact view of the white snowy mountain, a lovely lake teaming with bird life, All viewed from a luxury king size bed. Close to town about 15 minutes drive from Ohakune ?The rooms are spacious, emaculately presented, lovely gas fire with plenty of extras. The hosts were fantastic. This accomodation is like a 5 star hotel, best Tongario lodge close to Ohakune.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, tranquil, luxurious place to stay! Perfect for a weekend of ultimate relaxation, with amazing views of Mt Ruapehu and the lovely native garden/pond right outside your door. Clean, tidy, comfortable, well appointed and plenty of great breakfast supplies. Would 100% recommend and hope to be back ??
