Awful customer service, made to feel like a burden for ordering a coffee or asking questions. The man who works there needs a serious attitude change ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place to have breakfast well worth the rest stop. Breakfast was delicious had the tozzetti mixed grill. Very pleasant staff welcoming as walked in. Definitely recommend the visit if your around Nelson.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A group of 5 of us had gone for breakfast and was asked to leave as we still had our takeway coffees from another place around the corner. We were more than happy to quickly finish our coffees and then order but the staff proceeded to say that were very insulted, as they had "30k coffee machine" and the "best coffee in NZ and you shouldn't bring that coffee in here". Not sure what the big deal was as we were going order more coffees anyway. We are not local and felt very attacked by the staff member who thinks they have the best coffee in NZ. Was not asked for a vaccine pass.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well - after reading a lot of the previous reviews - I can see why this place and the owner have received so many poor reviews.
Went there a few days ago to buy a Sourdough loaf. No visible pricing. Indifferent hurried attitude from the owner. Told that it would be $12 Thought it to be an ott price but what the heck. Got to be good for those $ Super dry & disintegrated into bits when trying to slice.
I rang a cpl days later. Speaking to the owner. Asked him on Sourdough loaves availability. He rambled on about no supply at moment due to the 'Govt trying to close us down' with no further elaboration. Anyways asked what the price was for their Sourdough loaves. Answer '$8' Just as I suspected. Honest business? Not even close. Put the extra $4 towards your future expenses when the Govt has made you shut down and you're on the dole ? It's the small things in business that can make all the difference ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for breakfast at 07.00 but had no luck until we came across Tozzetti. I cannot rate them highly enough. The staff were really friendly. We got given some complimentary toast and jam while waiting for our meal which was a lovely dense brown loaf. Breakfast and coffee which surpassed expectations. Thank you. We will be back
