★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every local who is able should get a boat or water taxi to Rawiri Cove landing and Climb "the Monument" an iconic landmark between Hope arm of Lake Manapouri and the somewhat mythical Lake Pokarekare ana. Great views from the summit after climbing up "the chimney" to the summit ridge. though the 360 views of old are now partly overgrown due to maintenance budget cutbacks.
