β β β β β This place is the best. We were faced with awful weather on our trip but Jules was so accomodating and reassuring that we could make it work. Luckily, after a few days of cancelled sailings, she fit us in on the last day. This place went out of their way to ensure we got to Ulva Island. I was stoked as this had been on my bucket list for ages. Ulva, our guide, was friendly, funny, and super informative. Thank you for a great experience. And we got to see heaps of saddlebacks and two kiwis. Win!!! Love!

β β β β β I went on the kiwi spotting and Ulva island combo.
Both tours were a privilege to go on, the guides highly experienced and knowledgeable. I learnt a lot!
The kiwi tour at Mamaku point was a spectacular location, including down to the beach. Unfortunately the kiwi were hiding due to the bad weather, but the guide made sure we still had one good sighting (maybe 10 minutes close to a male) on the way back.
The Ulva Island tour was super special with Matt, who shared his extensive knowledge on birds built up all over NZ, over seas, and the sub Antarctic islands. He managed to ensure that every one in the party had a good view of even the rarest and most elusive of birds.

β β β β β Ulva Island is amazing and well worth the visit. We had Ulva as our guide and she was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable, lots of info to share about the birds and plants and could answer all of our questions. We also got to see two Kiwi! Highly recommend.

We went for a guided walk on Ulva Island with head guide Matt and thoroughly enjoyed it. Matt is a birding expert and we loved seeing so many rare birds - amazing how he spots them! The stories about the history were really interesting too. What a special place and what a special trip...
