Hats off to the team for providing such delicious, mouth watering dishes. The portions are really good and the taste is always consistent. They deserve more than 5 stars ✨

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazingly friendly staff with awesome food. Have tried heaps of different t items on the menu and have never been disappointed. Go to is chicken Dosa but really like experimenting with the different foods they offer as well as inventive specials.
The atmosphere is family friendly and the staff are all passionate and hard working. It is not a place on the beaten path but well worth walking the extra 5 minutes down Riddiford Street to get here as is significantly better food then any other Indian restaurant in Newtown (actually in Wellington).
The service is a little slower then you might expect from other places that are more commercial but you can taste the love that goes into the food and makes the wait totally worth it.
Bring good company and a hungry belly you won’t be disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When someone recommend a perfect restaurant and you feel like giving 5 star. The staffs are really nice and welcoming with having a smile. The environment is super cool to dine in.
The food is with perfect Indian kerala authentic taste. I liked the parota, koththu and beef koruma etc. Reasonable price. But next day I ordered through uber and not really satisfied with the food. The quantity of chicken is less to the price and the koththu didn't taste as same.
Not sure what went wrong.
Even though I highly recommend to dine in. You will definitely love it if you are missing Sri Lankan or South Indian food. :)

I was blown over by the food I had at Urban Masala....
The food has the taste and feel of a homemade dish and the culinary display of a urban restaurant.
Kiran served us and he is extremely courteous and pleasant ...
Which simply adds on to the experience.
I would recommend it to everyone who would love to eat good food .
Some more options for beverages would be really welcomed.
Looking forward to my next excuse to celebrate and splurge in to satiate the FOODIE in me.
