★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best value Indian in Newtown, and to top it off, their curries are up there with anyone else in the area. What's "best" depends on individual taste, as each restaurant has a slightly different variation, so I won't say one restaurant is better than the other, but all the curries at the Curry Pot are fine. Be adventurous and skip the boring butter chicken. Their Dosa is the best value in town, it's thin and crispy paper-dosa style. I find they do dosa better when there isn't a large group dining there at the time. Their lunch menu is unbeatable value. As a suggestion, you can ask them to leave out the oil/butter from the naan bread; I find it's nicer plain (and healthier too).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Curry Pot Newtown is my favourite restaurant in Wellington. Their food quantity is amazing for the price we pay and the staff is very friendly too. My go-to dishes are always either chicken biryani or prawn biryani and it always smell and taste amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Go give it a try it's worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Harry did a great job for me and my curry club last night. Service was excellent and the doosra's were lovely and crisp.
Curries were of an execellent quality. Nothing was to much trouble for Harry and his team. Great local spot or even worth taking a short trip out of the city to get to.
