A thin bedspread for a blanket.The spare blanket we got had dirty stains all over it.The sheets hadnt been changed and a fork and a needle cover on the floor.plus the bowl for cereal was covered in dirty dried food..cobwebs over the lights and floors hasn't been cleaned. An absolute disgrace.Needless to say we didn't stay.I wouldn't put my dog in there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This must be the worst Motel, if you want to call it that, I have ever stayed at. No one at reception. After numerous tries we eventually got the attention of someone at the reception and made the payment for the room. We were directed where to go. Room had a musty smell, dirty glue on carpets, stained curtains and dirty walls. The bathroom was dirty with hair everywhere. The basin has sigarette stains on it and towels were damp. The read lamp had no bulb in it and the tv had no remote. No cups or glasses. The bed was saggy and the linen was not clean. The next morning we had no light in the room.
This motel should be inspected. This will give a bad reputation to the industry. For $80 per night I would have at least expected a clean room.
Please do not use this accomodation. This is sub standard for New Zealand.
The only reason I gave it a star is so that I can give a review.
No stars there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building is nice and its quite cheap but it looks like its not maintained/run properly... Dirty with mosquitos spread on the walls, damaged bed, fridge is there but it only keeps your food and drinks hot and paint peeling on walls/ceiling. That could be acceptable if only the owner would take the feedback and try to fix it instead of being rude about it and in denial. Certainly deserves airing in Gordon Ramsay's Hotel Hell if it was in New Zealand.
Customer service second to none.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked & paid for 7 days. At the end of 6 days, we had no sheet change, no towel change & the rubbish bin emptied once. We had a shared bathroom, but given no soap, floor mat, face washer or shampoo. Somebody from the next room had been smoking in the bathroom. On the 6th day we went to another motel with none of these problems and happy to leave. I would be very surprised if there are many return customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was filthy. Dirty walls. Dust on window sills. Bathroom fan looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The heat pump was only blowing cold air. Thankfully I hired 2 adjoining rooms for myself and 3 Children which means I didn't have to share the bathroom.. However the green light on the bathroom flashed all night.
Central local. I don't mind budget but no need for filthy. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I were going to camp, but the weather put us off that idea, so we ended up here for two nights. The Google reviews almost put us off, but I'm glad they didn't. As a cheap place to stay, this motel has been perfect. It's in a fantastic spot, a very quick walk into town, and the people working here are all lovely, helpful people. They were really accomodating of our changing plans, and were really quick to help when we had any issues.
If you're looking for somewhere really nice with a lot of space, this may not be the place, but if you're looking for somewhere cheap, close to town, with really good people, this is the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms were cramped, dirty, lacked basic ventilation and had paper thin walls - we had the joy of hearing the couple on our right watching movies until 1am and hearing the man to our left snore like a bear.
The cleanliness standards were below average at best - between the strands of hair in one of the beds, the lack of toilet paper in the shared bathroom and the overwhelming feeling of being stuck in a jail cell, we will not be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: it made me appreciate home a lot more. Good location. Low price.
Cons: the room was so dirty I didn't want to put things on the floor. The shared bathroom wouldn't lock and was so dirty we showered at a local pool.
The room was so gross we did everything possible to avoid going back until we absolutely had to sleep, which could be a positive for a tourist?
