β β β β β I ordered mooncakes from Aroma Bakery, which belongs to V-mart. The mooncakes are excellent the the customer service of Aroma Bakery is great. Highly recommend the mooncakes here.

β β β β β We had a very bad experience at this store this weekend. We had gone to buy soy sauce and found 2 diff brands of bottles. Thinking it was $2 smthn each we went to pay and our card got charged $25 and only then we realised that one of the bottles wasnt 2 smthn and infact $22 ! We wer so shocked and instantly asked to cancel it and get a refund / return . This is just seconds after our card got charged. The guy serving us said he would need to speak to " his boss" as she doesnt allow refunds. No nowhere in the store does it say this . Theres no signs or policies stating no refunds. He came back to tell us his Boss said no so i asked to speak to her.
She was very rude to me and talking over me saying i should hv checked the price b4 the card was charged , quick to put blame on us. I told her clearly fault was on their end as the bottle was in the wrong section hence we thought it was arnd $2 smthn and we couldnt afford $25 fr that bottle. Since it was " incorrectly priced " she would need to refund us according to consumer act she was not understanding at all and just kept insisting i accept $25 worth of products frm her store or jus take the bottle. I told her there was nothng else i wanted from the store and again she wasnt ready to compromise or listen.
My husband then spoke to her and got very upset frm her rude behaviour and not understanding us. The conversation ended abruptly with him throwing the fone.
Short story . She dint refund us and now we are taking this to consumer council / fair go..
Its a very sad situation when she could hv just clearly cancelled the transation and just returned our money. This is a very badly handled customer service and not the right way to run a business. They are lacking in compassion.

β β β β β Lots of products from many different countries of Asia. They also organise the product lines by country or its neighbour. Therefore your item of choice would nearly or exactly coincide your preference. This would be very important so that your final cooking will end up as you expected. My choice of king fruit is definitely the durian. I know it would be very dear but when you need them you have to have it no matter the price. The choice is yours.

β β β β β Nice place to shop for oriental groceries.
Everything is laid out in a logical fashion, making it easy to browse the aisles.
I was impressed by the selection of vegetarian /vegan products. They even had a section (albeit small) dedicated to organic goods, as well as having other organic products dotted around the shop.
I'm not too familiar with the pricing of the products here in Christchurch, but the prices in this shop seemed reasonable.
It's located in the fancy new section of the Bush Inn centre - everything is clean and tidy.
I also spoke briefly to one of the members of staff. He was very quick in trying to help me find a product I wanted. He was also very knowledgeable about where the products came from, explaining certain aspects of sourcing and the supply chain of certain ingredients.
I will definitely be stopping here again the next time I'm in the area.
And a thank you to the man in the shop who took the time to help me today (and for the interesting information on growing soya beans and star anise).

β β β β β They have things from EVERYWHERE! They even have curry tree saplings, and banana plants to plant in your garden. Literally every Asian noodle and sauce or condiment you can think of, snacks galore. Many, many frozen foods and fresh bakery items. I even found Lithuanian ΡΠ²ΠΎΡΠΎΠ³ and brown bread in the freezer, and lots of hard to find Mediterranean items in the aisle.
