About Velobike

We’re Velobike — a product design and innovation studio based in the land of the Kiwi; New Zealand.
Velobike is run by myself Glenn Catchpole, together with Valerie who handles some of the communications and shipments of goods.
I'm obsessed with helping track cyclists ride faster. We do this by designing new, interesting and innovative equipment for athletes at the top level of the sport.
We are on a mission to revolutionise the sport of track cycling. We work with Olympic level cyclists and teams to make radical gains in their performance so that we can all benefit from the new innovations.
What sets us apart from the bigger cycling brands is that we are nimble, flexible and ahead of the innovation curve. We are experts in low to medium volume manufacturing. That means even the smallest product development projects are not out of the question.
Velobike prides itself on strong collaborations with national federations, athletes and businesses from around the world. We build strong friendships with riders, coaches and mechanics to develop new equipment that helps you ride faster.
Our unique value proposition means that riders have access to Olympic level equipment at a fraction of the cost of undertaking an R&D project. In summary, we develop new cycling tech that respond to your high performance needs, but manufacture it in greater volumes for everyone.
My background is in product development and manufacturing with a strong user centered approach to innovation. With years of industry experience in designing products for various businesses round the world, It was time to combine my passion for track cycling with my skills in product design to launch Velobike into the commercial market.
