Venture Management - Christchurch Central City

As a landlord, Venture Management have been very good. They secured tenants for our property and managed the process easily, smoothly. Rent is on time and clearly communicated. We feel confident that our property is looked after and managed well. I would definitely recommend them.

Venture are a fantastic company! They are transparent and efficient with their services. Highly recommend to anyone searching for a rental or wanting someone to manage their investment property.

When you have property managers communicating with each other to actively ignore clients seems a but fishy to me. Waiting for communication on a rental applied for and you only hear it has been rented fron Trade me.. where is the honesty and proffesional. Will be putting forward a formal complaint.

Venture Property Management Christchurch is not great to rent a property through. I am disgusted by the lack of communication and care in their work and how they treat tenants who are currently renting a property and also how they treat past tenants who have rented with them before. At the beginning and halfway through the tenancy was a smooth sailing, very friendly and get the job done. But, then for unforeseen circumstances we had to end our tenancy with Venture Property Management and what a load of cheap talk it was. The amount of whoops we had to jump through to finally get to the end was unnecessary, unprofessional, their actions were not in alignment and certainly in accordance with the Tenancy Legislation. We ended/terminated our tenancy with notice which was accepted and our last day was in mid December of 2021. Venture Property Management booked commercial cleaner to come in rectify some minor findings from the vacate inspection without consent and without communication to us. I made very clear that we would have been happy to come back to do it ourselves because we were charged and extra days worth of rent which I paid for but we were not aloud to go back. It was an absolute rigmarole with trying to get our bond back also. Finally received the last portion of our bond this week after 3 months of communicating very clearly but obviously it didn’t seem to bother them. The Tenancy Legislation outlines that both parties must act in accordance within the law and following/utilising and using the good faith principles. This service that was provided to us at the end of the tenancy and throughout the very long 3 month process was disappointing to see and to witness the childish behaviour from the senior property manager Linda Forsyth in an in person conversation at there office building in Peterborough Street back in January. Our property manager who we had throughout our tenancy and who we were working with during the 3 month process was Caitlin Blanchfield. Throughout the tenancy she was very helpful and very professional and maintained the professionalism that should be expected, who knows maybe she could teach her boss a few things. I feel the need to write this review for many other tenants who are thinking of renting a property through Venture Property Management or who currently are need to make themselves aware of all the stress, cheap talk, lack of communication, unprofessionalism, unfriendliness, disrespect and finally the lack of trust that one should not receive but could potentially receive. Would I rent through Venture Property Management again, NO. Would I recommend their company to anybody, NO. Do there staff and especially there senior property manager need further training in treating people how you would like to be treated, YES. So please, take this into consideration before you get kicked to the curb like a piece of rubbish.

While staying in the property it was nice and didn’t have much interaction with the managers. But moving out of the house is a huge pain. The paperwork process and signing same documents twice has made me rethink my decision. The moving out process is unprofessional and property managers do not try to help and get it done faster. I have left the property nearly 4 months ago but the paper work is still pending as the team is not great with coordinating. Their properties are good and new, but be ready for the managing style.

Worst landlords ever. Venture management are scammers. We moved in to a rental that already had patches of dead grass. We cleaned the place spotless including the bins and ALL drains in the home and they made us pay to redo the grass that was already dead when we moved in. Even though through every single inspection they never once mentioned anything about the grass. We always got emails telling us we never paid rent or had outstanding amounts that always came back as a mistake on there side as well. If you are planning on going into a rental that is managed by venture management. Don’t. You will regret it. I will never recommend you to anyone

Venture property management are an awesome company to deal with. We have been renting from them for the past 2 years. The property managers are polite and responsive. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a property management company.

I am currently renting through Venture Management and cannot recommend them higher! I have dealt with many rental companies over the years and Venture Property have by far been the easiest to deal with. Communication with them has always been easy and punctual and any issues that may arise have been dealt with very promptly. They are great at keeping us up to date with everything regarding our property and the process of signing our house was very seamless. I have mostly dealt with Senior Property Manager Linda Forsyth and I have found her extremely professional and attentive to all our needs. Would definitely recommend Venture Management to anyone looking to rent a property.
