β β β β β Exceptionally good value for money we chose the coach and cruise package for $98 each. We were picked up by Reece in the VIP coach (18 seater) at 7:30am then after collecting other passengers in Te Anau we set off for the 2.5hr drive to Milford Sounds.
The commentary and stop off points for photos and leg stretches were excellent. Once arriving at Milford Sounds we enjoyed a fantastic 2 hour cruise aboard the mitre cruise boat. It a nice smaller boat, lots of room and free tea and coffee. The captain gives an informative commentary and staff are on hand for any other questions.
We were lucky to see a pod of dolphins, seals and the spectacular waterfalls, we then enjoyed the drive back and weβre dropped off at our accomodation at 3:30pm.
If your in Te Anau and want to book a trip then I canβt recommend this one enough! Thankyou to VIP tours and Mitre Cruises!

β β β β β We had an amazing day with this tour company. We left Te Anau on time and discovered it had snowed overnight. The farmland and hills were a winter wonderland. Our driver was kind enough to let us out to experience the snow and take photos before we continued on.
I enjoyed this tour because there were plenty of scenic stops (Mirror Lakes, Mountain viewpoints, suspension bridge) on the way to and from Milford. We also saw a Kea on the roadside.
The boat cruise and ethereal scenery on Milford was spectacular too.
Can't go wrong with this tour company!
Just remember to put your phone on flight mode so you can keep enough battery for photos (there's no cell connection in Milford anyhow).

β β β β β This tour was absolutely exceptional, the bus was air conditioned and leather seated with tinted windows hence the vip name. Our tour guide/driver Reece really made the trip for us though, a true local full of so much knowledge and facts, pointing out all the walking tracks and stopping off at all the best photo opportunities on the way. The highlight of our day was definitely when a kea came down to say hello and landed on the bus roof! Thanks again would definitely recommend to anyone regardless of the weather, Milford sounds is a must do!

β β β β β We had an amazing day out on VIP Milford trip. We were picked up right on time in a new, spacious and very clean Mercedes van. Our driver Stephen was an excellent host providing facts and information en route to the Milford Sound. He also stopped at a few nice places on the way for us to get out and take in the alpine air. Stephen was an excellent driver and I would say that VIP Milford is the best way to spend your day exploring the stunning fiords and milford sound.

β β β β β We had a wonderful day out with VIP Milford! Our host Stephen was friendly, knowledgeable, a safe driver, and really made an effort to get to know all of us and bring the group together. We had some nice short walks and photo stops on the drive out to Milford. Unfortunately our boat cruise was then cancelled due to heavy rain and high winds, but we were given a full refund and Stephen did a great job to add in some extra stops and still give us a fun, full day out (if a very soggy one!). Highly recommend, and weβd love to do again in better weather!

β β β β β My family had an awesome day in Milford Sound and big part of it was the bus ride from Te Anau to Milford. Our driver was very easy going, very professional. A real people person which added to the whole experience.
Anyone that needs a ride to Milford Sound should definitely do it with these guys
