★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to get your hair coloured (especially if you need regular colouring). It is quite competitive price wise as they let you dry your her and only charge you for the colouring. They are also super fast and take late appointments so it is great for professional women ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everyone else seemed happy at the salon, but I wasn't impressed... Maybe I just haven't been to this kind of salon before? When I entered I saw a lady leaving. Her hair looked half wet, like someone had started drying and straightening it but not finished. I assumed she was getting something from her car then planning on returning to finish, but I found out she had actually finished her appointment... Hue doesn't dry your hair after they colour it. They literally give you a towel, hair dryer, straightener, some products, and some hairbrushes with other peoples hair in them, and tell you to dry and straighten your hair. Maybe other clients are really good at that, but I'm not. I don't know why I paid so much to do so much of the job myself... When I go to a hairdresser, I want to leave looking like I've been to a hairdresser... Aside from that, the colours that they put in made almost no difference... I feel like my hair looks just the same as before... Except straight because when I got home I straightened it for half an hour... All I can say is, yes, the staff are friendly. But, as I said, other people seemed happy there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my hair done just before lock down and i am so disappointed with how its turned out. Just one week after the appointment my hair was dull and looked like poorly done highlights (i asked for a grey beliage) after spending an arm and a leg on product i was told would lighten the hair (as it was yellow when i left the salon) it didnt even work. Now im no stranger to to having my hair done and i know how much my hair can lift. Hue mt eden done an amazing job and ponsonby does not even compare. They left my hair sitting in foils for over 2 hours and kept adding 10-15minutes at a time. Is it poor quality of bleach? After trying to get in contact to complain i was left on seen! $350 odd bucks later and my hair looks like a defective barbie doll and noone wants to do anything about it.

Katrina at Hue in Ponsonby knew exactly what needed to be done to rectify my hair colour and I am absolutely thrilled with the final outcome - it looks amazing. So very impressed with Hue's professionalism and knowledge of product and colour. Thank you so much Katrina.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was given a voucher for $100 off cut and colour , which i confirmed when arriving at premises. When i checked my bank account afterwards, they had given me a $40 discount only. Something to do with their computer!! They said they would give me $60 discount off my next visit. Ha Ha. I had a similar experience some months ago. Not good enough.
