★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They failed my vehicle wof and put "power steering belt noise" on the wof paper. I asked if they will pass my wof if I fix the power steering belt. They replied they are not sure where is the noise actualky coming from.
I questioned "how come you failed something you are unsure ?" They didn't answer and just asked me to fix the noise.
Then I took my car to a mechanic to check. The mechanic was also surprised by vtnz failing the wof because of noise, which is common for old cars.
He checked the power steering belt and said it's in good condition no point to waste money to replace a new belt.
Eventually he gave the belt a little bit lubricant to temporary seize the noise so that I can pass the wof recheck. This time I went to another vtnz centre for recheck and I got a pass straight away !
The only advantage from vtnz Browns Bay is that they keep your car "safe" as their standard is super strict and HIGHER than other vtnz ?

I was expecting a bad experience as has been the norm with VTNZ in the past however this was my first time to Browns Bay. Johnathan exceeded expectations. The team at Browns Bay are truly an asset to VTNZ. 5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jonathan choi explained everything very well. Hands down best VTNZ in Auckland. I've been too alot. I know the horror stories with VTNZ but if you wanting a pre assessment done on a vehicle then this is the place.
Only one thing was the vaccum test wasn't performed on the hilux.
But other than that good service.
