About Weissach Motors
A local community workshop with a focus on Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen.
Weissach Motors is owned and operated by myself (Jonathan) and my wife, Amanda (a Kiwi). Originally started in 2017, we operated the business from our home in Torbay, part time, fixing only Porsche. In August 2021, we took over Campbells Bay Motors (formally operated by Tim Findlay).
With a recent freshen up of the premises, we are focused on serving both the local community and well as a wider Porsche/Audi/VW clientele.
As a qualified automotive technician and auto electrician, I gained most of my Automotive experience in Victoria, BC, Canada (working predominantly on Porsche and other European cars in an independent European workshop). After completing a Bachelors of Commerce, Amanda and I moved to New Zealand where I was the General Manager for Midas New Zealand and then the Auto Super Shoppes Network.
Amanda, also holds a B.Com in management and marketing. I’m sure you’ll find her very friendly and customer centric.

The communication around the inspection report and images through to my ability to approve the specific services to be carried out, along with being provided with comprehensive quote for me to consider, was reassuring and incredibly helpful! Having a loan car put aside helped so much - usually, other mechanics I have been to have not been so accommodating. Will 100% be back for the next service :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very happy with Weissach Motors. They did a service and coolant flush on my W8 Passat. I was emailed a detailed inspection report which included photos of issues with my car which was great to be made aware of.
Jonathan went above and beyond even helping me source a new dipstick for the engine as my old one had a broken handle and I had been struggling to find one due to the rarity of the engine. Would absolutely recommend!

Jonathan helped my 84 year old mother fix her new Audi A1 keys that weren't working one day, when no one else could help. So, I have since taken my Holden SV6 and Audi S4 to Jonathan for servicing. He is one of the best mechanics I have had the pleasure to meet, and I will be going back to him in the future.

I had full estimates in my inbox with photos of what needed fixing and it was so easy to accept the estimates. Super easy to drop-off as well and I didn't feel rushed, they answered a couple of questions I had when I picked up. Very impressed and would highly recommend.

Excellent news that Jonothan and Amanda have expanded the business and I know they will do well given their top level of service and customer care. Their workshop software system really compliments their great work making it so easy as a customer with the electronic notifications and service feedback provided.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having newly acquired a 60 year old Porsche 356, I went to Google looking for a mechanic that I could work with to ensure the dependability of it as a weekly driver. I found Weissach Motors, liking that they were local and owner operated but not knowing anything else. I have now had the car serviced twice by Jonathan and both times he has gone beyond my expectations fixing little issues he's identified as well as flagging other aspects that we are now planning to address cost effectively over time.
Jonathan's workshop and workmanship is topclass, the car is driving beautifully.
Like others have commented the communication from Jonathan and Amanda is excellent as is the supporting documentation you get with your quotes and invoices.
Cost wise I'm finding Weissach to be fair and reasonable.
