★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed experience. The fish is so fishy that no one could even have a bit. Spending 48 dollars for such a dish is total unacceptable. Would not go again and don't recommend friends to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On arrival water pitcher provided without glasses, we have had to wait over an hour for our food and it has come with a hair in it.
When we have left they didn’t charge us for it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doesn't deserve to have a star as we are Very disappointed with poor service and organise - Willing to support the new restaurant in our community. I booked the table for dinner and when we arrived we had been ask to wait for for a while as they don't have any table available for us yet. We wait for 15 minutes and ask the staff again. The staff advised another 5 minutes. We wait for 10 minutes but still have not been seated, so I ask the staff again. He point out the table and said once that table clear we will be seated to that table, so we wait for it as we can see they are start packing up. But when they left the other staff said this table is for another group of people as they have more people then we do and ask us to wait again. We had totally wait for more then 30 minutes, so we decided to left. As a restaurant cannot seated booking customer on time and just keep asking them to wait, what the point to take booking. We did not see any of the staff check Vaccine pass.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great meal out at W Restaurant last night for 5 of us. Good service, delicious food. Only criticism would be that the sweet and sour soup had too much white pepper, and the chilli chicken too many bones, We enjoyed the beef and pepper, pancakes, sweet and sour pork, beans and eggplant, but would definitely go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally a great Authentic Chinese restaurant out west. Make sure you try the BBQ skewers lamb beef or pork or chicken skin for the naughty ones out there. There is a Sichuan fried fish served with veges served boiling in a pan great eating for two or more. It is very busy so make sure you book they definitely do check vaccine passes so don't forget. 10/10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We heard about this newly opened restaurant in Hobsonville and had been told it was worth checking out so decided to do so. We made a booking as you had to , as it was busy. When we turned up we did have to wait a few minutes longer than our booking time to get the table , but that doesn't worry us. Our vaccine pass was checked which is good to see they're abiding by the rules there. The place was busy but slowly quietened down before we left. Our orders were taken quite quickly , and after a while and seeing a few tables leave they let us move as we did not really like where we were initially. We ordered the soy sauced duck, sweet & sour pork and beef with black pepper. But now comes our one and only complaint about our experience here that being the wait for the food after we ordered. It must have been the best part of 45 minutes if not that exactly before we got our first dish which was a cold dish. A cold dish took 45 minutes!!! We had mentioned to them several times during that 45 minutes about where our food was and they did chase it up both times. There was a private room sitting upstairs which made them all the busier, but still the kitchen should be organised well enough that bringing out the dishes for all tables in a reasonable time is not a problem. Anyway we finally did get all our dishes in about an hour and they were actually very good. They must have a good chef back there. We were given a free bowl of peanuts and 10% off the bill in the end for the problems. To sum up , the restaurant is clean , apart from the slow food service ,( which I hope is fixed by now and was just down to them being newly opened and getting into the swing of things) all other aspects of the service was good. Staff were attentive and pleasant. The food was good . The menu is nothing flash but still enough to cater for all tastes. So all in all would recommend it, but book ahead .
