★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect summer walk without sun burn at all for the most of the track. The view from the top is stunning and worth every step. Make sure you are physically prepared as some steps can be challenging. You ca see Wairere Falls from a distance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walked April 2021: Would be a bit of a challenge to get to the top if your a beginner hiker but worth it for the view, I went a couple of days after it rained and the track was still pretty wet, lots of tree roots and moss covered rocks. Took me an hour to get up and 45 minutes to get down, the top can be a bit muddy if your wanting to get to the edge. It's very tall and absolutely spectacular! I went early in the morning so the fog hadn't quite cleared which made for stunning photos. Give this one a go! ?
