★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very pretty looking beach. Plenty of space to park up and have a picnic. There are public toilets there. A good drive to a good place to chill and watch the ocean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful spot for a picnic either on your way to or from Cape Reinga. Lovely beach and a DOC campsite. Gravel road to get there from the main road. Take it easy and larger vehicles like campervans are fine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This beautiful beach was accessed via 2km of corrugated gravel road after leaving the main sealed road. A strong wind was blowing but the blue skies, blue water, and white sand, made a very pretty picture. There was a large noisy party going on in the nearby camping area so I did not stay long.

This caught us by surprise (in a good way) as we didn’t look at reviews prior. Great place to visit before or after cape rienga

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful spot for freedom camping and not far from Cape Reinga and the Giant Sand Dunes.
There were quite a few wasps around which made it hard for the kids to play around the motor home, but they enjoyed the beach and water inlet most of the time anyway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning beach. Definitely off the beaten track. Overnight stay for freedom with ablution facilties. Not great cell reception so, something to keep in mind. Great views. Loved the scenery. Intense waves.
