★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well the car park nothing to write home about, but the beach was great, worth the easy walk. Northern end of the beach was a bit buggerd by the red weed. Very pleasant spot, too well promoted so not as secluded as it used to be. Still a delightful coromandel beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Access is quite difficult along a rocky shoreline and then a relatively easy track over the saddle. You can climb to the top of the peninsula for a stunning photo if a nice day but it is a very steep and difficult climb and also descent for an elderly person like myself. No problem for young people. Best to go at low tide as you have to cross a creek which is shallow when the tide is out.
