★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They need to manage the carpark better. We were there on a non-holiday week day and the car park was still closed for cars despite hardly anyone being there. It smacks of being a racket to support the business that transports people up here.
NOTE - there is a house much closer to the car park that allows people to park for $10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No carparking during the Summer (Oct to Apr, I believe) and any cars parked will be towed/fined. Absolutely fine to be dropped off/picked up, but strictly no parking. During the winter, it is paid parking 24hrs.
There is a bus from the carpark called "Cathedral Cove Park and Ride & Hahei Visitor Carpark", $7 return for adults if you don't want to walk up the hill towards this carpark (it was only a 20 minute walk, but it was all an incline).
From here you can then walk towards Cathedral Cove.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warning: in summer no car park at this area parlplatz, you have to park at Hahei Beach and walk approx 4KM. But when walking sure you will say its about 10KM. Its better to visit this place in the morning, if late can parking in summer is disaster and you have to walk approx 5 km steep ups and downs. But at the end you will see mother nature's beauty. Please have enough water and some thing to eat if you are going first time. You can also take kayak and boat facilities find more details at Hahei Beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The walkway has some very nice views, but make sure to take water to have on way as there is no option to get once you start the walk. Walk is around 35 mins one way. We got little exhausted as we were carrying our daughter. But the views are worth for the walk.
