★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We thought we would take a drive to somewhere we haven't been before and I was disappointed with the beach. It is only really good to take your boat out. So unless you have a boat, I would not recommend coming here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wide, shallow beach. At low tide, the mossy(?) beach is revealed. Not particularly inviting for me to walk my dog on the beach. I would probably go to Orua Bay beach nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Closet drive-able southern side beach to Manukau Heads. Black sand, nice swim at high tide. Surfcasters fish the sandy point at low tide, some drive their vehicles onto beach, don't try this at high, saw someone get there car stuck! Got beach walk at low tide. Very close to main harbour channel, strong currents.
