Slow is the way to go on these narrow roads
Seen a close head on collision with the car in front of us and an oncoming car speeding around the corner
The view is jaw dropping
Hiking, camping, fishing, diving, muscles, kina, paua, kahawai, snapper, sting ray and jelly fish

β β β β β Itβs beautiful beach and really big when I visited, it was windy and big waves so I couldnβt swim at the time.
But the place has 2 beaches and also you can walk around them, and a small island you can see different view for the ocean.

β β β β β One of the best black sand west coast beaches in the city.
The drive to the beach becomes very windy and picturesque in its final few minutes towards the beach.
The road becomes narrower too.
The walk to the beach from the car park is nice and easier with a low tide.
The place seems out of the world, given the high waves and unique adjoining landscape.
Numerous walks and trails nearby add to the charm of this place.
Ideal for a day's excursion, there's something for everyone.
Parking can be full on busy weekends and sunny days.
Very highly recommended.

β β β β β Beautiful, as many other West Coast, beaches. A bit further away from the water than Piha for example, so be prepared to walk for about 15 min. Keep your jandals on, the black sand is extremely hot around noon.
