β β β β β Absolutely loved the travel with old steam train. Our boys had a blast and while it doesn't have much to do in the train or at the destination, nor do we have enough time there anyway.
But the whole journey, taking time slowly and just enjoying the scenery. It was a great experience. Something to consider for a little family excursion.

β β β β β This was an amazing experience. About 50 friends boarded the vintage steam train. Our friends got married and we then steam back to the station. What a cool experience. 10 out if can 10
It's all run by volunteers grab your friends and kids and have a blast.

β β β β β Lovely way to spend a Sunday. Went with a group with our bikes and went for a bike ride before returning after 3pm.

β β β β β Pictures are at night... so they're not great or do the trip justice.
This was a great experience and I can easily recommend it to absolutely anyone.
It's wheelchair friendly for our less abled community.
Kids, train enthusiasts, history buffs and anyone that just enjoys getting out will love this.
There is a tea house, coffee shop and a pub st the end for a few beverages of your choice.
There's a few souvenirs you can purchase at the Glenmark railway station plane/ or the coffee shop at Waikari has a few nice things too.

β β β β β A fun but slow trip. Well done to all the volunteers who keep the trains running and for providing this unique journey. Ideally go in the morning and come back in the afternoon, otherwise the turn around times are very short and don't provide much opportunity to relax in Waikari.

β β β β β Was a lovely trip. Good to see different things you don't see from the road. Only disappointment was, we were expecting the steam train. Which it wasn't. Not sure why..
