★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wellington Airport's first floor cafe has great potato wedges, with 2 sauces. Just what's needed after a June day in the wind.
When will the new domestic airport be completed? Arriving and departing Wellington is such a shabby and 'downer' visitor experience in comparison to Christchurch's wonderful airport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little confusing to drop cars off if you’re not familiar with how it works at this airport as you have to put in your credit card to get into the parking lot where you have to leave your rental car. Fairly nice inside. The bathrooms are large and clean!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wellington airport is the best little airport (for a capital city) in the world. It serves as the entrance to Middle Earth and this is apparent by the amazing sculptures located within the facility. There are also lots of different retail and food options. Parking is expensive, which is the only negative (and the only readon it doesn't get five stars). There are also plenty of tidy, clean and modern bathroom facilities. Worth a visit even if you are not travelling.
