★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friends and I just wanted waffles but refuse to support vaccine passes (irrelevant of actual vaccine status) - they didn’t even serve us at the door. The guy was nice enough, but outright refusal of service is not the right attitude. Don’t support this business!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can finally eat hot foods like wedges in the movie theatre-no more scrambling for a meal after 2 hr-odd film! Love waffle ice creams & popcorn. Wish the toilet basins had hot water & longer drying cycle on hand dryer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Watched Dr. Strange Multiverse yesterday in Cinema 1 and it was good. So the last movie I watched in Whakamax was Avengers Infinity War, 2018. I think they put us in a smaller cinema and I wasn’t happy. After that I just travelled to Tauranga. But after watching in Cinema 1, I think it’s not too bad. If you are going to watch in Whakamax then try Cinema 1. Special thanks to the staff for there amazing service!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a vibe here! Staff very friendly when we come, they greet us and make sure were okay with out tickets and movie room. Favorite things to buy would be the Big Max Waffle with choc ice cream, nuts, cream and choc sauce yum yum!
