β β β β β It was the best Donkotsu ramen that I ever had in my life! We also had chicken karage and dumplings. They were really fresh. My friend is very picky about Ramen but he also said the ramen is best in New Zealand. The owner and daughter is very friendly. I will definitely come back :)

β β β β β The food quality here is spectacular - the pork has been marinated for hours and has a lot of flavour without being too fatty or salty, and even the rice isn't the usual hard and bland long grain rice, it is similar to Chinese sticky rice, being fluffy and having a soft consistency.
The octopus balls especially are really yummy.
Customer service is amazing, all customers are treated with a smile and it is obvious that this family run restaurant takes pride in preparing the dishes very well, it's not just about making a profit.
The prices are higher than average for the portion sizes, but well worth it.

Brought my 3 kids to Yawara Ramen for lunch and it was amazing!
The food, the staff and the feel of the restaurant - 5 stars all round.

β β β β β Very authentic Japanese experience right when you pull into the parking lot. They have a Cafe, which was closed when we got there, but we took some cookies to go. (The matcha white chocolate cookies were so yummy and fresh!) It's a small place that doesn't seat many people. The staff were so kind and happy. I got the tonkotsu shoyu ramen and karaage chicken bao. Both delicious!

β β β β β We ordered the miso ramen, tonkotsu ramen, and takoyaki. All dishes were so delicious! Full of flavour and very generous portion sizes too. And to top it off, the service was friendly and welcoming. I'm assuming this is a family-run restaurant - it had such a warm and inviting feel, and everyone we met was so gracious ^^ Definitely worth the half hour trip from the city. γγ‘γγγγΎγ§γγ !

β β β β β Unexpected, great find in Orewa! Really great food, service, cosy atmosphere. The tonkotsu ramen was amazing, and coffees were very good too (forgot to take photo, just drank it immediately). Staff were very nice. Only wish it was in my neighbourhood instead!

β β β β β This is the endgame for Ramen. Definitely the best one we've had. Great service too - very friendly. I wouldn't understand why you would rate this place lower than 5 stars. They make Ramen and they make it good.

β β β β β Totally lived up to the hype of the reviews. Came here at opening with our two kids, this really should be a place with a long queue out the door at all times. As it was on a Saturday night it seemed everyone who came managed to get a table immediately. There are several indoor tables and two tables on the outdoor patio out the back, a large one for 8 and a smaller one for 2. We sat at one end of the large table, there are roller screens that can open and close on the patio, plenty of fresh air and ventilation if you want to be covid safe. There was one more table for 4 outside at the front too. We ordered 2 tonkotsu ramen (1 spicy), a karaage chicken on rice and a boiled gyoza. The tonkotsu broth had amazing flavour, the karaage chicken was super juicy and tasty, and my daughter loved the gyoza so much she ate all of it and I didnβt get any. I liked how they had all the allergen info clearly on the table too, and there were other nice touches like the sesame grinder on the table. I would love to go back and try the pork belly next time. If you like ramen, this place is a must visit!
