★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor rental service. The car we picked up in Queenstown had two front tires that were worn to the point where there were no lines and we kept skidding uphill. This makes us feel very dangerous and scared! So we were very angry and asked the staff for an explanation, and asked for a new car with good tires so that we could continue our journey immediately, because the car has delayed our journey for half a day! The company did not take any of the requests or suggestions we made. Instead, they told us the two options they gave us! That makes us even angrier! Because I never thought I could trust this car rental company and end up with such poor customer service! And the attitude of the staff is terrible! Even when we asked if we could go to the toilet, we immediately said there was no toilet, he said because they lived in the Anti-Japanese War without toilets. What a ridiculous and stupid answer. Will completely block the company.

When I picked up the car, their staff explained the advantages and disadvantages of my insurance from Discover car. This is a service that I have never met in other companies which is very helpful. After that, I decided to cancel my insurance in discover car and purchase the zero-risk insurance package of Yes Rentals. Their zero-risk insurance package is really comprehensive and cheap than others. I ordered Toyota Aqua, a very good car, which is very fuel-efficient. And it is also very new, clean, and the price is very cheap. I will place an order from the official website of Yes Rentals next time and directly purchase zero risks insurance on their website. I will recommend Yes Rentals to my friend. See you next time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a car through their agency, Economy Bookings. Immediately got confirmation via email and even a reminder plus multiple instructions on how to pick-up the car from Yes Rentals. We even called them on our way there to ask if we can pick up the car from their location instead of at the airport, and they said sure no problem.
Arrived at Yes Rentals and was ASTONISHED when we were told that WE HAD NO CAR. Staff said that they already informed the agency that they no longer have cars and hence they cancelled our booking. The agency apparently had the responsibility to tell us. However, obviously, we received no such info. No one called us, no one texted us, no one emailed us. We double, triple check our online booking status and it said confirmed booking.
We then asked the staff to share with us some form of proof that such cancellation indeed happened—an email or whatever. But she couldn’t show us any.
So WE had to call the agency ourselves to verify or at least get our money back, but their call centre was not working. Our call was being dropped after an automated recording about shortened hours on a holiday. It was 11 in the morning. Even tried their Australia call centre, same situation. I know it’s a holiday, but it’s UNACCEPTABLE that there’s no other way to contact them, especially during such a busy season.
We were offered (by the Yes Rentals staff) a bigger vehicle that we didn’t need and was much more expensive and way out of our budget. So of course we didn’t take it.
After an hour and a half, we had to leave empty-handed since the staff offered no other acceptable alternative. They didn’t even offer to call the agency themselves to try to fix whatever misunderstanding—that’s between THEM, mind you—that happened.
Until now, 3 days later, we still couldn’t contact Economy Bookings and we still are NOT REIMBURSED of what we’ve paid so far. Horrible experience. Felt like we were scammed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good value for the money. The cars are reasonable for the price. The car I got had all tires worn out which was fine for the short trips in summer. The airport shuttle services were prompt and reliable. Other services are as what you except from the budget car rentals.
