About Z - Tauhara - Service Station
Z is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ampol after they acquired the Z Shares through a scheme of arrangement on 10 May 2022. Prior to this transaction, Z was a publicly listed company on the NZX and ASX.
Z is a subsidiary of Ampol, you cannot purchase shares directly in Z. You can however invest in the future of Z as part of the broader Ampol business via the NZX and ASX. A list of registered stockbrokers is available on the NZX website.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a few hours driving to return our older children back to their homes to prepare for returning back to school, we stopped in at Z Tauhara for a wharepaku break, but more importantly a coffee for me (the only driver with 4 tweens). We were greeted by the most bubbliest of personalities, the most friendliest welcome I had ever experienced at a Gas Service Station...ever...
These two ladies joked and laughed with me while my order was being taken, they even helped secure the best purchase for the day, a Banoffee flavoured frappe. Lenore and Hinei need to be credited for the awesome service they displayed, but not only to me, to other customers before me and afterwards. Coming from the hospitality services myself, it can be tiring of course to hold that smile and bubbly vibe for your entire shift, but these ladies were absolutely remarkable. So to Lenore and Hinei, thank you so much for being the small but valuable laugh to my afternoon, thank you for the smiles and cheerful vibe you both brought to my and other customers' afternoons.

Good range of fuels at ok prices (for the region).
Courteous, pleasant team members.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ “Service” station. Pumps on prepay, fair enough, just needed to fill car and buy milk and it turned into two transactions. Same thing happens to old guy next to me. Staff walk outside to try and sort. Both of us in new cars. I guess reverse discrimination?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normally a good place to stop. Coming from Hastings it's a good time to refuel, toilet stop and nibble.
Gripe is 2 of the 4 loos were locked.
Had to queue I was 4th. I was ok. But some were more "desperate".
