★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the coffees and hot chocolate - I've previously been a barista and this kind of quality is few and far between. Nice surroundings and the steak and mushroom pie was yummy too.

Wife was a bit disappointed that breakfast muesli had gone from the menu, maybe it will be back the next time we stop in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had lunch with husband and sister in law, a lovely meal that was presented well, delicious and we will go there again sometime soon. I had the Belgian waffles, and the other 2 had the Columbus breakfast. Thank you guys and gals from Columbus cafe.

Sadly I cannot recommend this spot.

FREE coffee was the one owing to me on the Columbus loyalty card that I mentioned at the time of transaction, so I assume the staff have reported another complaint which they offered free coffee to ?
I was passing through Taupo and will not be visiting this spot again sorry so no need to call to discuss this further.
I hope the issue with other complaints regarding coffee is sorted easily for you as well.
