★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very disappointment from the services received at Zurri Ellerlise on my wedding day. On a morning which should be most exciting and happy I was left upset,frustrated and distressed.
The hairdresser spent no time to work through and discuss what I had wanted for my hair. Stating that they could not work the picture style options I had given them. I had clearly stated I did not want anything tight and pulled back, but that is exactly what my hair looked like. Not once was I asked about how I wanted to work with my hair. I was so upset and left crying in the bathroom.
My bridesmaids were poorly taken care of. Reporting to me that the hairdresser had slapped her hand when she asked about her hair falling out of place in the front. My other bridesmaid who was in the chair for less then 5 minutes to have a bow clip placed in her hair and charged $30. They were left with limp curls and messy plaits which did not hold for the day, falling out before we even left for the wedding ceramony.
After frequenting the salon previously for similar services and always being happy with the result I was tremendously disgruntled on my wedding day.
I would not be recommending Zurri Ellerslie salons services to anyone. I was very upset at how the morning was handled in the salon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the Elerslie store and had a beautiful balayage done by Rachel which was amazing and turned out so much better than I expected. I had a lovely relaxing head massage by one of the assistants too. All the women there are happy and positive, they treat everyone really well and make the whole experience very enjoyable and relaxing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an awesome first-time experience at Zurri Ellerslie - from the easy online booking to the fantastic cut and style.Their service was efficient and professional yet friendly.
Brendon is AMAZING! He listened to what I didn't want and then weaved his magic on a new fringe, cut and do-up. I felt like a million bucks without having to spend it :-)
Will definitely be back (from Christchurch) because it's worth the commute.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of Auckland's best salons for sure! Jo is very friendly and I felt very confident my hairdresser (male) was very skilled. I used to visit Maelstrom in Onehunga, but will be a Zurri client from now on. Totally recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely love this place! Wanted to leave a review after my first visit but thought maybe they were just trying to impress a new customer. However, just had my second appointment and still feel like i had the best hair salon experience in New Zealand. First of all,the staff is really polite! Like you don't really feel they have that fake smile on they seem genuine and considering. I love that they offer beverages and have massage chairs but it's not the best they have.My favourite part is that they listen to what you want and explain what is doable and what is required to achieve the results. They always check if you are comfortable with what they will do to your hair and if it goes just a bit off of original plan they make sure you are aware and you are happy with the it, like I was trimming my hair and on one side I had to cut 5 mm more than we first decided, Tash,the hairstylist who was doing my hair, explained why she needs to do it and made sure I'm ok with that! By the way, Tash is absolutely amazing! She is funny, she is easy to talk to and she actually remembers what you have told her 2 months ago! Also, I had the best head massage! I nearly fell asleep in less than a minute! I know it's quite long review but I still feel happy about last night's appointment :) oh and my hair look like a million bucks !!

My last experience was a little disappointing though, cost me a fortune, the results not that great and I was reminded (which might be handy for working mums to know) that they do not regularly provide cutting services for kids (teens) in the evenings.
