★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had lunch there today. Fantastic food and service. Sasha was our waitress A very friendly and personable young woman. The Hotel has been renovated beautifully and the decor is awesome. We will happily be going back again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice new interior. BUT Was disappointed with the lunch time meal options on a Sunday. no roast option. The ribs offered didn't even include fries or salad . Chose the steak sandwich and wasn't asked how I liked steak cooked so it came out very rare. Fortunately they replaced it after I finally got the attention of the waitress. Hopefully a wider menu range will be offered in future to cater for weekend visitors.

I worked and drank at the amberley many years ago and the work that has been done on it is that amazing, I didn't recognize it and was lost trying to remember what the rooms used to be! We came for jingo and had dinner too. Staff were super accommodating, food was beyond fab (had the platter and chicken bites) and general atmosphere was perfect. At the end I mentioned to a staff member I worked there years ago and she gave us a tour of the bottle shop and accommodation which was such great service! You have really transformed every area of the hotel to a spectacular standard you should be proud and we will be back for sure (keep the jingo going!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful weekend spent here. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. The food was superb but most of all the staff were excellent. Friendly helpfull and professional. All in all a weekend where we were made to feel welcome and cared for. Well done Amberley Hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed there recently with a group of mates and was very impressed. Well renovated with comfortable rooms. Had lunch in the bar and dinner in the restaurant. Meals were big city quality and well priced. Great value and delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a delicious lunch there and the manager showed me round. The multi million dollar renovation they've done is simply incredible. What a transformation. The decor is first class with superb local photos and cleverly designed imagery. The beer garden is superb. It has an amazing bottle shop and produce store. The accommodation looks excellent. They even have a great takeaway outlet. Real thought has gone into making The Amberley Hotel a top class destination and they've done a magnificent job. Very possibly the best rural Hotel/Pub in New Zealand.
