Great Sri Lankan food. Generous quantities at reasonable price. We had the kothu roti with beef, chicken fried rice and two egg rotis. Every dish was great. The dal accompanying the roti was delicious. Sambal was fantastic but a bit spicy for us. We had the ginger tea as well. Highly recommended

Bought Kothu Porotta($14) - Havent tried it yet. Smells good. Curry and Rice ($13)was traditional and was nice. I recieved a long hair from Chicken curry that's why I reduced one star. Otherwise all good. We are humans so mistakes can happen. Top product was Caramel Pudding. The best I have ever had. Bit pricey but worth trying it $5 for a share of a slice which I have shared in my pics.

We got chicken kottu and prawn kottu. Portions were really good and the chicken kottu was great too...but prawn kottu was too salty...it just didn't taste well either hence three stars...

Never recommended. Last night I ordered three fried rise and a beef koththu. Fried rise overcooked. koththu also too bad. Ambula was a good restaurant and now days they are looking about quantity and not maintaining the quality.

I have ordered from ambula around 4 times now. First time I ordered chicken and prawn kothu. Chicken kothu was good but didnt have a lot of chicken pieces. But prawn kothu was so salty and had the prawn shells and stuff. Didn't like the prawn kothu at all. Next time we ordered rice and curry. It was good. Spicy and a bit too salty as well. They had few authentic curries which you cant find in other places which is really good. The rice and curry portions are really good. Too much salt is my problem and if they could have like a spice level then that would be good like others do. The other thing is that the rice and curry is so dry. There's hardly any gravy. They give us two chicken pieces which is so dry with no gravy. I have tried to order more but they dont have a lot of varieties.. they dont even have drinks when I asked them which is a bit disappointing. It would be nice if the staffs can be more friendly and let us know what options are available..

We try to go to Ambula quite frequently because it is just like eating authentic Sri Lankan food! They also do such a good job and the prices are so wonderful for the portion sizes they give! I really love the rice and curry option because it's just so so yummy and tastes just like something my mum would cook! (If not better!)

Staff member who served me was good in dealing with me as a customer. The my offer rice and curries, bakery items ( Sri Lankan), and usual fried rice, kottu etc which u would usually find in a Sri Lankan takeaway. Located in the shipping complex. So parking might be limited. Located just beside the road. I bought a chicken Kottu and a rice and curry takeaway. Kottu did not taste good but rice and curry was ok.
