★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few years back, I wrote a positive review for Aquaflow regarding their helpful, competent and friendly assistance repairing our spa pool cover. Following that positive experience, we sought their help to repair our spa pool that began to sputter after its tenth year. Those later experiences with Aquaflow were not as constructive. Over the course of two years, Aquaflow replaced several parts in our spa pool at the tune of well over $2K, all to no avail. Not one part that Aquaflow installed survived 12 months. The pump was replaced, I lost count, 3 or 4 times. They blamed the company that supplies parts, then blamed original wiring, rewired it and then returned the wiring to the original state. We did have our electrician check the outlet, just to be sure that wasn’t the issue. The spa pool ran smoothly almost for 9 months, when another error shorted it out (again) before Christmas. When I called, one staff person said he was in the area and would come by and check it “if not today, then tomorrow.” But he never showed. In a follow up call, he claimed he never said he would come by (but yes, he did) where he yelled so loudly I had to hold the phone far away enough for all around me (at Mitre 10) to hear in utter astonishment that yes, that was a local tradie. His solution? He suggested we consider investing ANOTHER $2,500 so that they could revamp the pool innards, because, of course, it was the part supplier that was the problem. He said would text me when he came out to look at the problem after Christmas. It is 9 Feb, and I will leave you to guess whether or not he ever came by. Needless to say, aside from a lot of money (and respect), we also lost faith in the competence of this business.
